Jesus The Savior
I was sitting in my car waiting for the light to change when suddenly I had a vision. The vision ceased when the person behind me began honking his horn for me to move.
The image was of Jesus Christ holding a lantern. He was floating in space surrounded by stars. Above his head was a dove. Immediately, I felt a need to recapture the image on canvas.
A day or two later, I began painting the image that was presented to me. During the painting process, I realized that the figure that I was painting was similar to the one I had seen in a spiritual dream I had many years ago in which Jesus transformed into Yemaya- (many associate Yemaya to the Virgin Mary). In the dream, Jesus guided me into a diverse spiritual path. However, what was the message behind this new vision?
The following is my interpretation of the spiritual Jesus painting:
Presently, humanity is going through a period of darkness. Natural disasters, civil unrest, poverty, etc. are intensifying. Humanity is out of control. Jesus Christ is the spiritual light who waits patiently to guide us into the light.
"And remember, I am with you always, to the end of all age."................................(Matthew 28:20).
The dove represents purity, and the Virgin Mary represents hope and faith. Although, Mary was not part of the vision, I had a strong desire to include her in this painting.

Humanity needs to connect to God more. Prayer is a valuable communicative tool that can assist us in reaching out to God. There are a myriad of prayers dedicated to God, the Father and Jesus. However, they cannot compare to your personal creation. When the words come from within, the impact is more powerful and meaningful. Therefore, the best prayer is the one that comes from the heart. Each time we speak to our Divine Father or Jesus, we are composing our own personal prayer. The task is simple. Everyone has this ability. All that is needed is an open heart and faith.
“Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:24)
Recently, I was speaking to a woman who was seeking spiritual advice. When I told her to open up her heart and speak to Jesus, she said, "I don't know how." I was shocked at her response. She did not know how to speak to Jesus, however, she was openly divulging her problems to a stranger.
After chatting with her for awhile, I realized that she lacked the fundamental knowledge of Jesus Christ. Moreover, she had been living in total darkness for a very long time and had become a prisoner in her own personal bondage of suffering.
For those who live in spiritual darkness, lack spiritual inspiration, and don't know how to communicate with Jesus, here is a prayer for you to read:
PRAYER IN TIME OF SUFFERING
Behold me, my beloved Jesus, weighted down under the burden of my trials and sufferings, I cast myself at Your Feet, that You may renew my strength and courage, while I rest here in Your presence. Permit me to lay down my cross in Your Sacred Heart, for only Your Infinite goodness can sustain me; only Your Love can help me bear my cross; Only Your powerful hand can lighten its weight.
O Divine King Jesus, whose heart is so compassionate to the afflicted; I wish to live in You, suffer and die in You. During my life be my model and my support. At the hour of my death, be my hope and my refuge...............Amen (Author Unknown)
May Jesus be your spiritual beacon now and always.
May Jesus give you inner peace, and the spiritual inspiration to achieve all of your goals.
